Great night at Darlo Ale Stars

What a fantastic night the inaugural Darlo Ale Stars proved to be. The full house sign was up as nearly 50(!) Sydney beer lovers spilled out of the Louvre Room, but that only added to the vibe of the night.

The cornerstone of a great Ale Stars night is killer beers, and our selection of English Pale Ales did not disappoint. From the pantheon of great English Pale Ales l present to you -
Timothy Taylor Landlord, Fullers London Pride and Samuel Smith Old Brewery Pale Ale. All wonderful beers, each displaying a particular nuance of the style. And just to mix things up we tried the Meantime London Pale, which proved the misnomer of the evening. From the fresh burst of citrus hops on the nose, the Meantime announced itself as an American Pale Ale. A lovely beer on its own, it also served to illustrate the clear differences between the two styles.

So l trust (and hope) a great night was had by all - l certainly enjoyed it. Great to meet new beer lovers and, as a proud Melbournian, great to see the incredible turnout of Sydney punters. See you next month and book your ticket early

Cheers AG
