Our monthly beer appreciation session (aka the Ale Stars) in Darlo last week featured Scottish Ales and was attended by 35 keen enthusiasts. The beer lineup was Innis & Gunn, Brewdog Paradox, True South Wee Jimmy and McChouffe.
Ale Star Tsar Doc, assisted by Steve, led the beer discussion as teams searched for answers to a great range of trivia questions delivered in late mail from Shandy.
Competition for the preferred beer on the night was fierce with the Brewdog taking the prize though True South Wee Jimmy was a close second.
Jordan did the big reveal on the mystery beer tasting sample for the team tasting champions (see photo) which was correctly picked as Trumer by 6 out of 8 teams. Luisitania team (under a clever disguise) took out the main prize, though team LICKY WEBSTER was voted best name!
