On Thursday night at the St Kilda Town Hall, the 2010 CitiPower Port Phillip Business Excellence Awards were held.
The Local Taphouse (St Kilda) was a finalist in two categories - Hospitality Award and Innovation & Entrepreneurship Award. Well, guess what? We somehow managed win both!! How cool is that a collective passion for better beer has got us this far?
Guy and I would like to give a HUGE thanks to Justin, Ben, James, Becky, Richard and all the incredible staff who, over the past few years, have worked tirelessly side-by-side with us as we try and achieve our dream of creating a world class beer venue in Australia. Thanks also to our customers who have enjoyed their experiences enough to come back time and time again.
With so many new additions coming in 2011, it's a great time to acknowledge - with genuine gratitude - all the efforts of the people who have got us to where were are now.
Hear Hear! While the whole concept and the vision and the dream are the platform of the Taphouse, it's the staff who are 'on board' with it all and who deliver the experience to the customer. Their contribution can't be understated. Nice of you to acknowledge it - I know it's not what they do it for but a bit of a shout-out is a nice reward. Well done to the team and let's get fully beer-crazy in the next twelve months!
