St Kilda Ale Stars with AG from Mornington Peninsula Brewery

It was with great pleasure last Tuesday that we invited Andrew Gow - head brewer from Mornington Peninsula Brewery - down to the Taphouse as our special guest for Ale Stars.

Having been a one time regular at St Kilda Ale Stars, as well as spending a stint as the Ale Star Tsar in Darlo, AG was already an experienced campaigner so he slotted in seamlessly.

AG regaled stories of brewing jobs past - as the original employee at Mountain Goat, a short spell at Matilda Bay an some time up north on the Sunshine Coast and slightly less north at 5 Islands in Wollongong, and gave us an insight into his current life down at the old exploding golf ball factory.

What was clear is that AG is as passionate as anyone about his craft and confident he knows what the consumer wants well enough to hit the nail on the head taste-wise over a wide range of styles.

So a big thanks to AG and Matt for making the trip up the highway from Mornington, thanks also to Shandy as usual.

Next Month, our Christmas Ale Stars is also a Q & Ales with Soren Eriksen from 8 Wired in NZ.

Click here to book. See you there.

Cheers,

The Local Crew
