Growlers are back in St. Kilda!

Growlers and squealers are refillable glass bottles for carrying tap beer home from The Local Taphouse.  You only need to buy the empty 1.89 litre growler ($15) or 946ml squealer ($10) once. After that, you simply swap and go.

Starting from today, they can now be purchased from the upstairs bar each day from midday until 11pm or until sold out. Just bring in your empty growler/squealer and swap it instantly for a fresh, pre-filled version. Easy!
The beer menu will change frequently but to start things off, here are the beers we're launching with:

* Mikkeller Single Hop Sorachi Ace (DEN) 6.9 %  $40 growler/$22 squealer

* MOA Cocoa Weizen (NZ) 5.0%  $25 growler/$13 squealer

* Erdinger Hefe-weizen (GER) 5.3%  $25 growler/$15 squealer

* San Paolo IPE Springtime (ITA) 6.5% $37 growler/$20 squealer

Check out the growler/squealer menu on our blog (or on the blackboard in the upstairs bar) which will be updated regularly and come on down  for your fresh tap beer fix.

Unfortunately, we can only swap BottleStore or GABS growlers/squealers.
