Last night I went along to the Piano Room in Kings Cross for the Timeout Sydney Bar Awards for a few free beers (Fat Yak so better than the usual muck) and guess what? I was caught unawares when we were named Best New Bar (in Sydney) and picked up a nice trophy for the pool room.
Thanks to Paul, Les, Jo, all the great staff and (most importantly) the Darlo Locals who frequent our joint.
We also got a Highly Commended mention for Best Design (Neil Perry won for Rockpool) so it was great to see Gardener Marks recognised for their inspired efforts.

Well done. So my comment about The Local in St Kilda on Monday night being "one of the best beer bars in Australia" stands? A quinella for sure haha.
