The Great Australian Beer SpecTAPular locked in for Feb 12 and Feral wants Ale Star input into what to brew!

We're starting to hear what the brewers are thinking of brewing for The Great Australian Beer SpecTAPular (GABS) and, OMG, this is going to be AWESOME!

Feral head brewer, Brendan Varis, has been mulling over what beer to brew and he's currently partial to brewing a coconut brown ale (which gets my vote) but he will be inviting Darlo Ale Star attendees at the December Feral session - where he's very special guest - for their input. Just another reason to get to that session on December 7 (book now!).

The GABS is now confirmed for Saturday February 12th in both our Sydney and Melbourne venues.

  2. Is that a Brown Ale that we have to drink out of a coconut? Very 'Survivor'! Can I have mine without the pooncy little umbrella, please? I'd love to see what Brendan could do with a nice Melbourne Summer Saison. I could even think up another funky name for it if you like!

  5. Grey beers and black IPA's are all the rage at the moment, so how about either a grey or black IPA?

  6. Hi - what's the ticket plan for the spectapular? Is there an entry fee or is it just pay per pint?

  7. There is a minimum $2 door charge then you pay for what you drink - tasters, regular or large glasses.

We will be donating 100% of the door charge to the Qld Flood appeal so we hope people offer more than the minimum entry!

The lineup of beers will be posted on our blog in the coming days..
