Stone & Wood's beer for the GABS is brewing away as I type. It is to be called Red Relief and is a dark red ale brewed with several type of malted grains.
The brewery want to do their bit for the Queensland floods and have decided to donate the whole batch to the appeal. The Local Taphouses (and other venues who sell it later) will also donate to the various appeals the proceeds of selling Red Relief. That's a total of $4000 from us to the GABS flood appeal just to get the party started!
Richard Watkins from the Wig & Pen in Canberra (seen below at right with Feral's Brendan Varis and Brad Rogers) is brewing a kriek Berliner Weisse called kb served through morello cherries in the new Wilfrometer. Here's how Beer Advocate define the Berliner Weisse style.

Above: Scott Hargrave, Ross Jurisich and Brad Rogers get up to some weird, um, games in the brewery.
