Ben Kraus a hit at Darlo Ale Stars

Darlo Ale Stars were treated to a great night this month as Doc and special guest Ben Kraus regaled the crowd with an informative history on Ben's career and his Bridge Road Brewery, one of the most outstanding breweries in the country (along with Feral, Murrays etc - private joke!).

There was also the opportunity to officially sample four of Ben's beers - Aussie Ale, Beechworth Pale, Robust Porter and Chevalier Bier de Garde (and unofficially another three or four after formalities!). The People's Choice winner on the night was the Bier de Garde followed closely by the Porter.

The trivia contest was between twelve groups with best team name being awarded to "Get Your Hands off my KRAUS'. Eventual winners was the Devil's Advocate team who were treated to a great merchandise pack of Bridge Road gear.

A huge thanks to Ben for flying up for the occasion, doing a great presentation and for holding it together after a long afternoon at 4 Pines in Manly!
