Donation made and brewery earthquake report from NZ

This afternoon we paid the $3960 we raised for the Christchurch Quake Affected Breweries Appeal to the NZ Brewers Guild which they will distribute amongst those affected. Here's a message and update we got from Twisted Hops' Martin Bennett.

Many thanks for your fundraising, there were 4 breweries affected by the earthquake to my knowledge.

The Twisted Hop - unknown damage to equipment as access forbidden, damage to plant thought to be minor, building has yellow ticket ie restricted access and cannot trade. Relocation of the brewery, which seems to the only real option, could be expensive, especially if we can't get all our gear out.

Three Boys - damage to tanks and boiler and liquefaction in brewery. Brewing resumed now.

Dux de Lux - Brewbar in Art Centre damaged and inaccessible and lease terminated (in dispute). They contract brew at Harringtons Ferry Road which sustained damage to building and plant but are brewing again now.

Harringtons - both brewery buildings damaged, but operating again now.

Thank everyone so much for their help.

Martin
