This month's Ale Stars appreciation session in Darlo was all about IPA's. We had a solid crew of 40 rock out to the Taphouse last Tuesday night under the guidance of Sir Doc. We decided to go with an all European line up to showcase that it is not only the US that can produce some heavy hopped beers.
Doc went through the 4 beers :
- Meantime IPA
- Gouden Carlos Hopsinjoor
- Brewdog Punk IPA
- Mikkeller 1000 IBU
Feedback from the night was that the Mikkeller 1000 IBU is one out there beer. Enough said!! Very different from Mikkeller 1000 Light
Now Guy promised a posting of the best variance of a question that I created on the night about who was the hottest red head around. Unfortunately the paper with the best answer on it was misplaced so I have created one instead. "With red flowing locks and a tummy that is very yummy - Mark is the hottest red head around town" YAY!!
October Ale Stars will be all about our Tasmanian friends from Moo Brew. We have Owen Johnston (Chief brewer) as a very special guest who will guide everyone through the night and fill us in on the fine brews they create.
