This afternoon the Beer & Brewer Awards finalists were announced and it's a very, very long list. We got thirteen nominations but it seems like every known beer business got a guernsey. If even half of them turn up for the Presentation Dinner on Oct 25, it will be one fun night!
2011 marks the second year of the Beer & Brewer Awards which "recognise excellence in venues, beertenders, events and more in the beer, cider and hospitality sectors across Australia & New Zealand".
We've been named a finalist for the Best Beer Event - Great Australian Beer SpecTAPular (both venues), Best Beer List (both venues), Best Beertender (Mark Richardson, Darlo), Best Large Pub (both venues), Best Restaurant/Cafe (both venues) and Best Themed Beer Venue (both venues).
The Local BottleStore & Provisions got two of the nominations.
