Bring on The Age Good Food Month this November!

We're thrilled to be involved with this fabulous month long event celebrating great food and beverages across 4 cities!

Each Sunday in November, we'll host a Spring Sunday Roast lunch on the terrace from 12-3pm.

Choose your meat and we'll do the rest! Only $38 and includes a drink on arrival and a delicious roast lunch with all the trimmings.

Join us on Thu, Nov 21st for "A Heavenly Pairing: An Introduction to Beer & Food Matching" where 5 great beers are paired with 5 food dishes. Learn about contrasting and complementary flavours and get more out of your food and beer experience. Open to novices right through to enthusiasts

Barley's Angels in St. Kilda goes Grill Crazy!

Barley's Angels presents: "Girls on the Grill" as our end of year party!

Move over guys, the BBQ is the domain of the male no longer. It's time us ladies got to gather around the barbie supping great beers and chatting with the gals while we leave the boys in the kitchen.

If you have ever wanted to master the BBQ whilst learning about and tasting some incredible beers (including our latest all-female collaboration brew - Hildegarde's Biere de Garde), then come along to The Local Taphouse.

Under the professional instruction of our fabulous "Tongmaster" Pete Mitcham, together we will learn how to cook the perfect steak, whether there is any truth in the need to pierce your sausages and other great barbecuing techniques all of which will definitely grant you your space around the grill! Leave with some great beer & grill inspired recipes as well!

As it's our last Barley's Angels event for 2012, there will be some great giveaways & fun competitions throughout the evening. This is one not to be missed... we shall all leave together as "masters of the tong"!

St.Kilda loves Beef, Beer & Bocce

Well, baby it's cold outside! So The Local Taphouse in St Kilda is warming up your winter with a great 4-course dinner hosted by the infamous Prof. Pilsner (aka Pete Mitcham).

We've got a great beef inspired menu, complete with beer matching (and not just your favourite winter beers, we've thrown some other bits in the mix) and lots of banter.  Prof is going to bend your minds with his twisted trivia and give you some great prizes.

To finish off the night and work off the beef, we'll be holding a round robin bocce comp (with more prizes) in the new Bocce Room.

If that wasn't enough, we're giving one lucky ticket holder a great prize - a month's worth of Growlers (1 x fill per week) OR $150 bar tab at The Local Taphouse. Your choice. When you book your ticket, you're automatically entered.
