Stone & Wood's Brad Roger is Special Guest at Darlo Ale Stars Nov 10

We're thrilled to confirm that Stone & Wood Brewery's Head Brewer Brad Roger will be the Special Guest at next Tuesday's (Nov 10th) Ale Star session in Darlo. Brad will be talking about his new Stone Beer and other dark lagers.

If this session is anything like Brad's time at the St Kilda Ale Star session, it will be awesome..

As usual, you must prebook via the button on the top right of this blog ($30 inc beer and pizza)..

Stone & Wood are the Showcase Brewery for MovemBEER.

  2. My mate & I are from southern California and enjoy hoppy, hoppy beers such as single, double, Imperial, and tripple IPA's. We are happy as pigs-in-bog for the many micro brewerys here in southern California. Some of them are: Green Flash, Stone, Port/Lost Abbey, Ballast Point, Alpine and etc. with strong and hoppy beers to savor (95++ IBU's, 7-11%+ ABV's).

Sunday avo, after stopping at many recommended pubs we stumbled into The Local Taphouse and an Aussie gem! 20 taps and a large bottle selection. Good beer, good cheese, comedy shtick and an oasis of beer culture. The bartender (I believe his name is Jeremy or Justin?)was extremely knowlegable! He gave us some tasters and we eventually selected then hammered down a number of the #20: MATILDA BAY ALPHA PALE ALE. I'd recommend this to all beer aficionados!

  3. Nice to hear your feedback. Thanks!

The seed of The Local Taphouse idea came from my experience living in SoCal and Father's Office in Santa Monica!
