After the staff finished washing and swapping over glassware on the Friday night before the Oktoberfest SpecTAPular a couple of weeks ago it was 3:30am. Ange was there too, despite finishing sewing the petty coats during the day and working the night shift. She was in AGAIN with Becky at 8:30am to decorate after just a few hours sleep. But was it worth it??? Yes! A big thank you to Becky and Ange from all the staff for organising the costumes.
The SpecTAPular started with some punters joining the staff by dressing up in lederhausen and the sun graciously came out to help with the celebrations. Peter and his oompa band started early and put on some of their best performances both upstairs and down throughout the day and night. After looking at their tab I'm sure they had as much fun as we did!
The kitchen pumped out some great German food. The pork and crackling was my favourite but the Bratwurst with sauerkraut and mustard being a close second.
$1450 was raised from door entry donations and they will be donated to the World Vision East Africa Appeal.
